NEW COACH

It is with great pleasure to welcome James Williamson to our coaching staff. James is native of the area. Growing up in Coeur d' Alene, Idaho, he graduated from Lake City High School. Played soccer all 4 years and was named 1st team all-league and offensive MVP as a senior. With his family still in the area, James is excited to return home and be involved with our club.

James is a decorated alumni of the Corban University Warrior men’s soccer team and played four years (2012-15) as a center back for the Navy and Gold. During that time, he was a three-time All-Conference selection.

James has extensive experience as a young coach. With a resume that bolsters our staff’s lineup. The hire shows a continued commitment to our players success. James will be a valuable asset to all of our families and players in the club.

James most recently led Corban University Men’s Soccer program to an undefeated regular season. Its first regular season conference title in six years. The first conference tournament title in three years. The first time sweeping both since 2013. The programs eight consecutive berth in the NAIA National tournament.

Prior to his time at Corban. James was part of a major improvement in wins and losses at Northwest Nazarene University Women’s Soccer program. Going from 4-5 game winning seasons to 8 and 11 wins a season is a great accomplishment.

James experience isn’t limited to just the college side. He has extensive experience in club coaching as well. He has a passion for helping in the development of both the boys and girls side of the game. Making him a great addition to WE’s staff.

Technical Director, Chad Brown has great enthusiasm regarding this hire.

“I’m very excited about the hiring of James. Our conversations were typically regarding college recruiting. The last time he called. The conversation took an entirely different direction. I’m eager to have him dive right in with our players and coaches. He will add a lot of value helping influence our club. He’s an example of WE continuing to push to new heights.”

“Our philosophy on leadership and player development align. We are both passionate about positively impacting our community. Providing players with opportunities to help them achieve their goals and dreams, drives both of us.”

 James says

“I’m very thankful and excited to be joining WE. Our philosophy on values and development are in great alignment and I have a ton of confidence in the direction and long term vision that Chad and the board have professed. I am looking forward to being part of what is to come”
